Effect Add Frame

Example of special effects on photos:

Wood Frame. This is an image obtained by applying the special effect "Add Frame" to the original image at bottom with Photoshop Elements.

The effect "Add Frame" of Photoshop Elements produces an image that looks like a framed photograph. Additionally this effect adds a kind of drop shadow inside the frame, thus giving an impression of deepness.

Note that the image gets bigger in pixels after applying that effect. Our photo of a train did grow from 400 x 300 pixels to 500 x 400 pixels. But to keep our page layout we did reduce it to 400 x 320 pixels (keeping the proportions).

Alu Frame. This is an image obtained by applying the special effect "Add Frame" to the original image at bottom with Photoshop Elements.
The effect Add Frame can be found among the wizards, but I could not find it under the menu "Filter" like most other special effects.

Have also a look at the effect "Add Envelope" that gives some similar results.
