Effect Emboss

Example of special effects on photos:

Light direction north-west. This is an image obtained by applying the special effect "Emboss" to the original image at bottom with Zoner-Photo-Studio.

The emboss effect of Zoner Photo Studio allows you to choose a direction for the light/shadows and a factor for the strength of the emboss effect. A desaturate check box is available too. Its effect is to remove entirely all remaining colors in order to get a greyscale image. Applying the effect "greyscale" after the effect "emboss" would give the same result. The light direction is the example above is north-west

Light direction north-east. This is an image obtained by applying the special effect "Emboss" to the original image at bottom with Paint Shop Pro 5.

The emboss effect of Paint Shop Pro 5 has no particular settings. The light direction is north-east.
